The venue was good enough, and the teacher was amazing, but I was surprised we didn't get to bring home what we made during class given we paid $86 for the class.

It was a beautiful experience. I felt it was a bit rushed and thought it would be the traditional way seated on Tatami mats. I also would have wanted us to spend more time on deep breathing to relax our bodies and minds.
However, our teacher was very engaging and delightful; a true master of Chanoyu The class was good value for money and I loved the history lesson the teacher gave us. To me, that is very important as it rounds out any experience is life. Knwing the how and why. Thank you to the sensei and the translator. I hope to come again to a class in the future.

I booked as a surprise for my partner's birthday and we had so much fun! The instructors were so sweet and the designs they picked were really cool to learn. The set up and planning was very thorough, they had set out all the materials for us and it was perfectly portioned for each step! I thought it was well worth the price and it was a great experience. I would definitely go back to the space for another class.

I thought it was a good introductory class for the money. The materials were appropriate for a beginner class.
There was a lot to cover and I missed some of the instructions while concentrating on my work.

Overall, we were happy with the instructor! She was very kind, attentive, and detailed with her instructions and answering our questions. Sushi making is really not easy. Half of our class who had prior experience with making sushi/bibimbap were able to follow along and successfully made some sushi. The other half with no prior experience did struggle but I think they still had a good experience.
A few tips for a better experience:
- Perhaps send the preparation notes a few days before the class OR include them with the physical kits. The notes were sent to our event organizer's work email on a Sunday, which gave the team no time to prepare the fillings and cook the rice beforehand.
- The instructions should include how to make sushi rice. Most people know how to make rice, but not sushi rice.
- Perhaps some engaging interaction at the beginning with the class would enhance the experience: self introduction, getting to know the class, where they are located, etc.

I attended an Ikebana class recently, and here's my concise review:

The teacher was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Ikebana.
The venue was beautiful and serene, enhancing the Ikebana experience.
High-quality materials were provided for stunning arrangements.
The class fee offered excellent value for the enriching experience.
I learned Ikebana basics, history, and hands-on techniques.
What I liked most was the meditative aspect, appreciating simplicity, balance, and mindfulness in design. Excited to explore Ikebana further!

Talo Kawasaki with RESOBOX exceeded our expectations and then some! His warm smile welcomed the class as they started signing in. Talo shared his monumental credentials and accomplishments. He worked with the class to not go too fast or slow and his directions were very clear. We created origami cranes and he was knowledgeable about the crane symbolism and how origami relates to positive mental health. I am extremely thankful for Talo's time and expertise, RESOBOX and ClassBento!
