How to Play UKulele for Beginners

Want to learn how to play the ukulele in less than an hour? Come and join me virtually for a fun and musically-inspired class, where you'll learn just how easy it is to play the ukulele!

During this class, which is designed for beginners, you will master everything you need to know about playing the ukulele. You will learn how to play the ukulele chords for beginners, strum patterns (and even some flamenco!) to play a song, including fingerpicking, melodies, soloing and improvising as well. Plus, you can even sing-along!

You will also learn how to read chord charts, TAB music and play the C Major scale. Once we've got the basics covered, my ‘forte’ is discovering and bringing out your personal ukulele style.

Any ukulele is fine for the class, and I will also show you a variety of ukulele shapes and sizes and suggest the right size for you.

At the end of the class, you'll be able to confidently play all the basic ukulele chords for beginners and can continue learning ukulele songs at home!

I'll also send you a booklet of everything we cover in class for you to study and practice at home - so you don't need to take notes while during the session - just relax and enjoy learning and having fun!

• Any Ukulele (I can also help suggest the right size one for you).
• A 'clip-on' tuner or tuning app set for ukuleles. Guitar Tuna is a great free one, and you can change the settings to ukulele tuning - G C E A
• If you have long fingernails, it may be best to trim them a bit before class for ease of playing.
