I'm Matthew, an oil painter with a portrait and landscape background based in Los Angeles, CA. Since 2019, I've exhibited work in Santa Barbara, Ojai, and Los Angeles exploring the scenes of life and nature on canvas.
My biggest improvements (and best times) have been made while painting with others and I'd love to share this experience with you! Whether you're a seasoned artist or a first-timer, I'm here to help you discover new techniques and interests in your art and have a good time while we do it.

Matthew was really welcoming during our session. I felt at ease because he has a very adaptable teaching style that feels more like just painting with an old friend. He gave me some pointers on technique but really gives you free rein to pain whatever you feel. Also the way he talks about art and perspective really shows how passionate he is about creating pieces that have substance and he helped make me consider how and why my own style was the way it was. My favorite part about the experience though was that he respects stylistic differences and can value that each person works/thinks/visualizes in their own unique fashion. I had a blast and would love to work with him again!
