Beginners Welding Class

If you’ve ever had that moment where you wanted to create something but didn’t know exactly how to do it (and knew some welding may be involved), explore that curiosity in this welding class in San Jose. This is a great opportunity to explore a new hobby and learn welding basics from an expert.

So many artists (including your instructor) got into welding because they needed to build something out of metal. You may even have a welder at home but don't know how to use it. Your instructor's personal journey with welding started as a kid when a bicycle with a sidecar attached to it rode past. They thought it was the neatest thing they'd ever seen and wondered, "Now how do I make one?"

In an intro welding class, you will learn the foundations of working with metal. Cutting, grinding, multiple types of welding including Flux core, MIG, and some other handy skills like plasma cutting will be touched on in this class. No sidecars in this class (though maybe one coming up).

This is a basic welding introduction, where you will have the opportunity to practice the above types of techniques while also learning how to set up welders, terminology, and other cool stuff!

No prior experience or knowledge needed. This is an intro-level workshop. There are no age limits for this class; however, for students younger than 18, we ask that a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver.
