What you'll do
If you want to learn how to bake and decorate a beautiful mini-cake from start to finish, this workshop in the Bay Area is for you! Whether you're looking for a new hobby or a creative activity in the Bay Area, this class is fun and educational, and will leave you feeling rewarded and inspired!
Don't worry if you've never baked or are a decorating novice, this is a baking and cake decorating class for beginners. This is an all-day baking class that will allow time for individual attention. Your chef will take you step by step through every part of the process, from how to read your recipe to how to pipe with buttercream.
Our class kicks off at 9 a.m. with hands-on baking and component creation until noon. After a rejuvenating one-hour break, we'll resume at 1 p.m., wrapping up the day at 5 p.m. We provide all the tools and ingredients you'll need.
Class schedule:
- Bake 1 cake recipe
- Make buttercream
- Make cake filling
- Build the cake using all the components you just made previously
- Frost the cake professionally
- Pipe three of Blooming Cakes' signature buttercream flowers: ranunculus, scabiosa, and wax flowers.
- Decorate the cake with your buttercream flowers
In this cake decorating class, you will learn how to pipe buttercream flowers to create professional-looking and stunning cake designs. You'll learn all the essential decorating techniques and gain the confidence to tackle cake decorating and baking on your own! By the end of the workshop, you'll have your very own masterpiece to take home—a beautifully crafted cake!
