What you'll do

In this fun and engaging workshop, you will create a work of art while also building connections with your colleagues. This workshop is suitable for all painting levels, and beginners are welcome! The workshop is available in Chicago and surrounding areas.

During the workshop, an experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process of painting. You will learn various painting techniques such as designing a composition, underpainting, mixing and blending colors, and adding texture and detail.

The class will be a fun and interactive activity, allowing you and your team to bond and collaborate in a relaxed and supportive environment. The workshop may also provide a wonderful opportunity for you to gain new skills, express yourself, and to explore your creativity.

All materials will be provided, including canvases, paints, and brushes. By the end of the workshop, you will not only have created a beautiful piece of art, but you will also have shared a fun experience with your team. You will leave the workshop with a unique masterpiece to display at home or in the office!

Hi my name is Molly Cranch and I am an artist, author-illustrator and arts educator based in Chicago, Illinois.

I have taught students ranging from age 3 to adulthood in a wide variety of settings including public and private schools, online and in art museums and art centers. I have taught a wide range of art media, however I love to teach 2D materials such as drawing, painting, collage, and bookmaking.

My teaching philosophy is relaxed, supportive and student-centered. I teach basic skills and techniques while allowing room for creative flow.
