If you're looking for inspiring and relaxing art classes, join this painting class in NYC. In this art workshop, you will learn how to make soak-stain paintings inspired by the work of Helen Frankenthaler.
Helen Frankenthaler was an American Abstract Expressionist painter best known for her “soak stain” paintings, which she created by diluting her paint and soaking it into unprimed canvas. Like Jackson Pollock, Frankenthaler didn’t use brushes, but rather poured her paint onto the canvas and used sponges to move it around. The result was a calming field of liquid-like color.
In this hands-on art class, you will learn about Helen Frankenthaler and create your own calming soak stain paintings! If you're looking for fun things to do in NYC, team-building activities to help you and your colleagues unwind, or fun date night ideas, join this engaging art class.
