Douglas Amport and John LaPolla, motivated by their knowledge and passion for brewing, founded Bitter & Esters in July 2011. Fueled by their desire to inspire, they conceived of Bitter & Esters which includes, a homebrew supply shop and classroom space to educate and nurture the growing homebrew community. With access to resources, supplies and expertise, it is a creative hub for sharing brew tips and techniques. Bitter & Esters fosters a deep commitment to the craft of brewing.

Max, our instructor, was stupendous. He made everything incredibly fun and easy to understand in a very short time.

Admittedly getting there from Manhattan is a bit of a pain but nonetheless well worth it.
