Mannequin Madness warehouse - Mannequin Madness, 1031 Cotton Street, Oakland, CA

Your teacher

I have been in the visual merchandising industry for 20 years as the founder of Mannequin Madness.

Mannequin Madness is the largest mannequin recycler in the US and the only mannequin warehouse in the Bay Area.

A few years ago when we recycled mannequins for Macy's in SF, we also received their leftover supplies from their flower show. My design team decided to use the flowers to decorate the mannequin heads we had for sale in our warehouse.

Initially the headpieces were just for decoration, but customers who came to our warehouse started asking how we made them and wanted to buy them. This was the start of our headdress workshop classes.

We love showing people how mannequin heads can be canvas for creating wearable art. The joy our customers experience while making the headdress is second only to the joy they experience wearing them.
