What you'll do
Embark on a fun-filled creative day with a hands-on tufting workshop in Highland Park! In this class, you will learn how to create your own hand-tufted rug or wall hanging by AJ of Magic Carpets.
Over the course of six hours, you'll learn all the tufting basics: how to use the tufting machine, techniques for streamlined workflows, and backing/finishing methods. Your instructor will walk you through each step of the way, so don't worry if you've never tufted before! This immersive class is meant to be a fun learning experience where you can experiment with a new craft to create a custom handmade item.
A tufting workshop is the perfect way to start a new hobby where you can learn the process from start to finish. It also makes for unique gift ideas for creative friends. You'll leave this workshop with your new tufted creation, or you can leave it with your instructor to professionally glue and back for you for an additional cost (two-week turnaround).
