Weild fire and hammers as you create a wall bottle opener in this metal smithing workshop in Richmond! This class is perfect for beginners diving into the world of blacksmithing and learn basic metal smithing techniques.

Join us at Seaport Studios for an engaging session in crafting bottle openers! You'll learn essential techniques like hammer control, hole punching, and tapering—all in an engaging and supportive environment.

After you get the hang of hammering and shaping, we will add a touch of finesse with beeswax to give your creation that professional finish. This class will make you comfortable in the black smithing environment, so you can confidently tackle your project, explore a new hobby, or enjoy a creative day with ease.

Sharing anvils means sharing the fun! You will be sharing an anvil, taking turns to forge your masterpiece. There may be an opportunity for a little collaboration while you help your partner punch and drift a hole and lend support in your project.

You should be able to lift two pounds.

Please wear all-natural fibers such as cotton, leather, or wool. Please do not wear shorts, open-toed shoes, or synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, or spandex. A water bottle is recommended.
