Hi!

Having published poems under the name Kathie-Louise Clarke, I find myself also going by Persephone Print, so welcome to this little section about “us”.

When my dear childhood friend invited me over to play about in her new print studio, I had no idea that I would be embarking on an obsessive but joyful journey into the world of printmaking.

The process of transferring creative thought to paper, to linoleum, and then carving the block is a labor of love. The excitement of pulling the first print… and the next twenty is hard to beat. There is beauty in the imperfection, challenge in letting that ‘blemish’ stand and marvel at the few that come out just the way I imagined!

Self-taught, I mainly make relief prints, sometimes inspired by the poems I write, but also create greeting cards, notebooks and other small items.

I am so happy to share my love of this art form and to encourage the latent creativity in others to shine.

x Kathie
