Painting Course for Kids

Let your child's creativity shine by introducing them to art in a painting course in San Mateo! In this four-part series, your child will learn the fundamentals of conceptualizing artwork from start to finish. Lessons will focus on building skills in drawing, acrylic painting, still life, color theory and more!

They will learn to use a variety of tools and mediums, including acrylic paints and watercolor paints to create beautiful and meaningful finished artwork. Your instructor will also teach your children about the elements of texture, form, value, and color while also exploring art history and culture.

This small class size will allow your child to have individualized attention to help them succeed in their creations. There are also lots of fun activities that will help keep the children engaged and excited to make art!

The hope is to give children a voice through art-making. Art allows a child to explore, from the point of the unknown to a point of completion, learning art techniques while working through mistakes and problem solving, resulting in higher self-confidence, awareness, and leadership skills.

You're never too young to dip your toes into the art world. Plus, art classes for kids will allow your child to challenge themselves, socialize, and expend any extra energy!

After the first session, subsequent sessions can be arranged with the teacher, at a time that suits you.

Suitable for kids from 5 to 8 years old. Adult accompaniment is not required.
