What you'll do
Let loose and let the colors lead the way in this painting workshop in San Mateo. You will learn how to paint colorful palm trees in this art class led by local artist, Sherry Woodward!
Sherry will guide participants from start to finish. Your instructor is an experienced and self-taught painter who loves to share her process with her students, and encourages them to loosen up by tapping into their “inner child." Her work can be described as impressionistic, expressive, and impactful. This stress-free class is open to everyone from beginners to working artists!
Using a wide range of colors, you will create your palm tree acrylic paintings! You will complete four 6"x6" color studies using a different palette for each. Sherry will guide participants on how to have fun with new and exciting color combinations.
What you'll do
- Practice painting "negative space"
- Learn how painting layers creates texture and more opportunities to make interesting marks
- Explore the color wheel and learn how to make color choices.
- Have fun and be creative!
