What you'll do
This fully hands-on class will teach all the fundamentals of making sourdough. You will learn the essentials of creating and maintaining a natural wild yeast starter, preparing sourdough bread from scratch and the techniques for pulling, shaping, cold proofing, scoring and baking to achieve bakery quality sourdough at home.
We'll help you choose the right ingredients, understanding the growth phases of your sourdough starter and how to adjusting bread formulas and other parameters so you can successfully experiment at home with new flavors and textures.
Each participant will go home with their own dough created in class and a sourdough starter culture.
If you're looking for fun and educational activities in the Bay Area, baking bread will indulge all your senses and awaken your mind to all sorts of delicious possibilities. It's the perfect reason to gather your group for a team-building event or a unique birthday party.

All levels are welcome.
What you'll get
All materials will be supplied and you will take home your own dough and our 10 year old sourdough starter culture.
