Traditional Kintsugi uses a lacquer called Urushi, with the same active ingredient as poison oak. We take every safety precaution available when working with Urushi, but rashes can still sometimes occur.

Beginner-friendly.
  You will receive all the materials required to practice the authentic form of Kintsugi and will go home with a completed authentic piece of Kintsugi at the end of the third session.
  It is recommended that attendees bring their own broken ceramics from home to experience the true, authentic practice. Ryley provides ceramic teacups to break in the event that no broken pottery is available.
 

This class series runs over 3 consecutive sessions, at the same time every 3 weeks.
