2 hours Class size 1 to 16     label $40 - $60 ($60 per guest when you book for 1+ guests, $50 for 5+ guests, $40 for 9+ guests)

The age-old skill of making and shaping dough is at your fingertips! Whether a beginner or a seasoned veteran, working with dough is a very relaxing activity that helps you release stress with every pinch and punch.

In this class, you’ll learn the basic ingredients needed for doughmaking and play with the consistency of dough, experiencing the tactile changes to it as you knead it and pound it. After a break to let the dough rest, we shape it, detail it, and make it come alive! At the end of the experience, you will have the knowledge and skills to recreate these anytime you want for yourself, friends, and family.

Although it may seem daunting, the process is actually very easy to pick up and gets easier the more you do it. In fact, if you’ve made dough before, this might even be too easy. Feel free to take things up a notch and experiment with different shapes and sizes!

This activity is suitable for parent-and-me classes where parent and child work collectively on the same creation.

Plan an interactive birthday party or a team building activity and enjoy making treats together.

5.0 (4)

Angela grew up in the bay area to immigrant parents, and because she has always been intrigued by their language, food, and culture, she took opportunities to study and work abroad in Osaka and Taipei.

Influenced by Japanese and Taiwanese designs and appetites, she started making her parents’ favorites, and since they were so well received, she expanded to more and more steamed buns, some savory and some mildly sweet. She loves preparing food with and for others, and seeing everyone’s personal touches to their own creations, and so she wants to share the culinary experience with you as well!

She has worked as a part-time educator for over 8 years, and absolutely loves teaching. She hopes that she can spread the joy and knowledge of making buns with you so you can continue making them decades later.

Please feel free to drop a message if you are interested in classes. She does public workshops and private events!
