Watercolor Painting Course

Looking to kickstart a relaxing new hobby? Try watercolor painting in this NYC art course! This absolute beginner watercolor course covers all the basic techniques with simple, colorful exercises in a zero-pressure space. The small class size also means you'll receive lots of help from your patient instructor.

In this five-session course, you'll learn easy watercolor painting and all of the basic painting techniques to get you started. You’ll create simple fruits, flowers, and foliage by learning: water control, paint consistencies, color mixing, creating highlights and shadows, and differences in working on wet and dry paper. You'll also learn ways to add impact to your painting, whether it's floral, landscape, or still life.

This workshop is both informative and fun and a great way to get started on a new hobby. Your instructor can answer all of your questions and provide you with personalized instruction as well as set you up with the right materials and basic skills for beginner watercolor painting. You'll receive an email recap of each session with video and tutorial suggestions for homework (encouraged, but never mandatory).

This class series runs over 5 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
