What you'll do
Do you dream of handmade scarves and cozy personalized sweaters? Start your knitting journey with a knitting class in San Francisco! This workshop will set you up with all of the basic knitting skills for your new hobby.
In this beginner-friendly knitting workshop with Lee Barber, you'll dive into the world of knitting without any prior experience necessary. In the first class, you'll learn how to cast on stitches, create the knit stitch, master the garter stitch, bind off stitches, and craft a charming bookmark to take home. You will also learn how to read a simple knitting pattern.
If you've never picked up a pair of knitting needles before, fear not! Your teacher provides a welcoming environment where students can thrive. By the end of class, you'll feel much more confident about your new hobby.
You will learn the purl stitch, the stockinette stitch, how to increase and decrease stitches, and make a dishcloth. Returning students can add to their skills by learning to read a pattern.
