As a trained French pastry chef, I like to concoct exquisite desserts with a unique blend of flavors and textures. Creating a new pastry is always a challenge, but the excitement of presenting it for the first time to food-lovers, family, and friends is the driving force. I am most passionate about sharing knowledge with everyone I meet.

Located in the heart of East Village, Atelier Sucré's commercial kitchen offers a space to create delightful, delectable sweets. We welcome students of all experience levels and provide all the equipment and tools needed. A kitchen is a special place for chefs; it's where the magic happens.

My bf and I wanted to do something new and different so we signed up for a baking class as we’re not bakers ourselves. Our chef was so funny and a great teacher. Parking in the area wasn’t great since it’s a 2 hour limit and the class is 2.5 hours. But I realized that you can add more time using the ParkNYC app as soon as the full 2 hours is up. We learned how to make Mille feuille and Madelines. It’s definitely worth the experience to be taught along in a class plus understanding how to make it for yourself later at home. Madelines are ridiculously easy and I’m excited to have learned that new skill!

The class was great, until we realized that’s it’s not enough cream to fill even 2 eclairs each. The table is shareable between 4 people. If you are sharing a table with strangers whoever gets to create eclairs and put cream first that person gets the most eclairs. We told the chef that we barely got any cream to put in the eclairs. She did nothing to try to help us or smooth the situation. On top of it she used our table cream as demonstration for everyone which made our table have even less cream. I did not like our chef. She was very uptight and not friendly. For $90 a person you would expect for the chef to put a little more ingredients so that people don’t feel left out.

Ended up being a perfect bday surprise for my partner who loves to bake but doesn't have lots of space or access to professional equipment. We rented a whole class, which was minimum 8 people, ended up with 14 total. At $80 a person, our friends loved the idea. Just had to coordinate a little.

Once you walk in the building, you're in the classroom. Aprons and everything we needed was provided, plus wine openers and cups since it's BYOB. Makenna was our instructor and we all loved her. We went over the expected 2 hours but thankfully they didn't have to rush us out for another group. And everyone left with a lot of amazing pastries!

Chef Simon was funny and very knowledgeable. We came home with croissants and pan de chocolat. I think the class was definitely a good value. There was not one thing that I could point out that I liked. I liked the whole thing.

The croissant making class was so much fun! Brenda and Paola were amazing! Brenda was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the process in a way that was easy to understand. We all successfully executed delicious croissants thanks to Brenda and Paola's guidance. The venue was small but made the class feel intimate and encouraged teamwork as the work tables were shared spaces. I had a great time will definitely attempt to make croissants at home now that I understand the process thanks to this class!

I enjoyed the class and the dessert portions that came out of it. Teacher was nice as well. It was a bit disappointing that we had to share our table with a couple that had come in didn't wash their hands and kept repeatedly coughing towards the ingredient table. They would also taste the mix and not go and wash their hands even though I had asked them that they should. They said they weren't sick but perhaps although common sense to many, perhaps the teacher should emphasize washing hands and if they hear coughing, perhaps reccomend the students to reschedule.

The class was so much fun. I learned so much and was able to troubleshoot the areas where I failed when I tried making Macarons. The teacher exceeded my expectations. She was very informative and shared a lot of tips to succeed in making our own in the future. I love that we got to bring home everything we made. Now I know better, I'm glad I found this class. Sad that we didn't get the recipe for the raspberry and the chocolate caramel filling, they were super yummy!

This was such a great way to spend a Saturday night out in the city. My friend was visiting from out of town and we both loved this one-of-a-kind experience you can honestly get here in New York. My daughter and I loved the class. We took home 8 delicious croissants: 2 classic, 4 chocolate, and 2 ham and cheese. My husband said it was the best he has ever tasted other than in France. The teacher was great! Chef Jen gave very clear instructions and her personality made it fun too. She also gave great tips of where to buy ingredients and what to look out for. We left with recipes so we can make them at home as well.

The instructions by the chef were clear and easy to follow, layered in with some humor which I appreciate.

For the price we paid per person, I was surprised when me and my partner had to share the dough with two other people. That diluted the whole experience exponentially because I didn’t learn some of the techniques as we take turns working on the dough. It felt like being forced into a group project with strangers when we thought we were paying for individual experiences.

The croissants we made looked and smelt incredible. However, the dough (which was made by another class for time saving purposes) had a strong yeast taste and this was more pronounced in the classic butter croissant.

The experience was great! Decided to go here for our 9 year marriage anniversary and it was so worth it.

The instructor Makenna was knowledgeable and always on track. All the materials were provided.

The class is long and at the end all the work you out it will only make you appreciate croissants as an art form even more.

I can see this being great for birthdays, friends night and even team building corporate nights

Will definitely be spreading the word and coming back for other events.

To the point and didn’t start late, which is great. He explained things quickly but I understand we were on a strict time crunch so it’s hard. Overall a great experience, the only thing I wish was different was having a snack break earlier on in the session, given the time slot (dinner time lol)…thank you for a new found love of pastry baking! Love love loved this class! Our teacher (Christopher) was funny, kind, and SO incredibly hands-on and helpful with his instructions. We did a private class since we had a larger group (8 people), and everyone in our group raved about how much fun they had. From start to finish, everything was organized to a T, and I was impressed with how smoothly everything went. This is largely in part to the organization and prep work that the team had obviously put into for the before and after of the class. Plus, the end result of the croissants turned out even better than expected—the croissants were to die for! I'm already looking for an excuse to book another future event, so thank you! ❤️

Overall we really enjoyed the class. We were unaware that another couple would be joining us and it made things a bit awkward. We were the only table that had to ‘share’. both parties concurred that it was a bit unfair that all other tables got double the amount of food when we had to split when we all paid the same amount. This was an amazing experience. The teachers were very informative and helpful, answers any questions you have, and at the end you end up with croissants that actually taste amazing. 10/10 would recommend as a cute date idea or surprise.

Honestly a perfect girls night or date night. They structure the class perfectly and you learn so much. The croissants were very good and gives you more of an appreciation for them. Jennifer was amazing and funny. I was second guessing doing this class but very happy we did. Bring some wine and enjoy the night!

Participated in a class on Oct 28 & had such a great time! The instructor was personable & funny & did a great job explaining not only what the steps were in preparing the macarons, but also why you do the action in the way he was demonstrating. Small class size made the event even more personable. Highly recommend this event.

Sooooooo glad we took this class! Chef Simon was AMAZING and we loved that the class was medium size so the intimacy was perfect - not too private but not too big.
