Paper Marbling Art Class
Leah was very informative. She gave a brief history on paper marbling as an art form. She told us about two forms of paper marbling and the one we were doing: suminagashi. Sumingashi is the easiest as it only requires ink and water. She showed us examples of her paper marbling art. She is very creative. I like the venue as it breathed crafting & art. I like the materials provided as we used an example of good quality paper and copy paper. The copy paper can be used to practice and perfect your paper marbling skills. The price of the class was reasonable. It was a good value for the experience we had as we were able to make more than the planned pieces of suminagashi mabled paper. I purchased the class as a birthday gift for a friend. We both enjoyed the class. We learned how to do sumanigashi or Japanese ink paper marbling. I like how easy it was to create marbled pieces. I like how it doesn't require that many materials to continue doing it. I would definited do another class with Leah. I'm looking forward to doing arts/crafts classes through ClassBento. + more

I was intimidated with the idea of using it, and Nur talked me through it and led me to feel more comfortable with it. I took this class as a gift from a friend, and I don't think I would have ever taken one on my own accord. This class was incredible! I bought the class as a surprise gift for my partner and we each made one knife each. Our instructor Arlene was so helpful, funny, inspiring, and had a great taste in music. The effort was somehow both easier and harder than expected (my arms are spaghetti), but the teacher was available to help if you were struggling. To be able to leave with a handmade knife was amazing!This class was incredible! I bought the class as a surprise gift for my partner and we each made one knife each. I got this class as a birthday gift for my friend and it was the perfect experience. Brian was a wonderful teacher and created a good environment to learn and have fun. It was both of our first times working with clay and his instructions/demos were great and he had the perfect balance of letting us experiment and guiding us when he saw we needed it. This class was great! I really enjoyed the instruction and tips from Jo. This is a fun way to craft a gift for yourself or someone else. The kit comes with a file and two wax rings. You can work out your design with the first ring and then have a second to make it better. Or make two rings (there would be an additional cost to have two rings cast. The course fee covers the cost of casting one silverThis class was great! I really enjoyed the instruction and tips from Jo. This is a fun way to craft a gift for yourself or someone else. If you have other small tools around the house you can also use those to sculpt the ring. I happen to have some small files and clay carving tools and they worked for this ring project as well. I recommend watching their videos before you get into the class so that you have the basic idea of what you will be doing before you try to do it. I continued to work on my design after the class had ended and will now try to perfect it on the second wax ring before I return it to be cast. It was fun to see Pippi the cat make an appearance. I would recommend giving this a try and will probably do this again myself. + more

She’s insightful, knowledgeable and so encouraging throughout the entire process. The studio is well organized and clean. She had everything that you needed and showed us where everything was and what the uses were. We really enjoyed the free time we got to experiment. Nurullah is a very patient, detail oriented teacher. I loved learning about the origins of Art String and Mosaic Lamps. Both classes are a lot of fun to do! He's also very friendly, and makes sure you experience a truly complete Turkish experience with treats, music and culture.
