I was visiting my daughter who lives in NYC and we thought the class would be a fun mom/daughter activity. We were right!The instructors were all very funny and helpful. The materials were neatly set out prior to arrival and all the instructions given were easy to follow. Our table mates we fun, and everyone left with a tasty box of macaroons. The only drawback was the venue was a bit chilly

- Learned how to cook paella, choosing the right ingredients, basic knife skills, basic cooking skills.
- The class was a bit too expensive for the output since a group of four/ more had to share one skillet.

Great class. Our instructor was very helpful and engaging. It was a rather large class, but he made sure to spend time with each table, helping us make the best dumplings possible.

He explained the various cutting techniques used for the vegetables, and did a great job demonstrating the folding methods used to make the dumplings.

We had previously taken an enjoyable sushi course here, and now we've taken the ravioli course. The class did not disappoint! Our teacher was friendly and approachable whenever we had a couple questions on the step by step process of flattening out the ravioli noodles. If you're willing to get your hands dirty (don't worry too much, it's just flour and dough), it'll make the prep work much efficient. We didn't have to worry about cooking the mushrooms, sausage, pesto sauce or alfredo (the teacher handles that due to time constraints), and it all tasted delicious in the end! Definitely worth the $65

I booked this for a team building event (18 people) and it was great! Exactly what we were looking for - we all got to do an activity together all while being able to eat. The instructor was fabulous and did a great job of explaining the process of everything (different yeast types for dough, different flour types, etc.) and was wonderful at going to each table to constantly check in with the teams. Awesome experience! Better than sitting at a restaurant where you cannot really talk to a lot of people, and are stuck only speaking with the people sitting around you.

Such a fun engaging class and Chef Tommaso is the best! He gave tons of tips & tricks and was so helpful and attentive throughout. He swooped in when we messed up our dough and helped fix it in no time. At the end we enjoyed a delicious meal of our homemade ravioli with wine from the bar next door. Would recommend!

I thought this class was a lot of fun. The teacher was great and always willing to give more info. The only bummer for me was that we didn’t make the filling for the dumplings which I think would have been nice. Everything is premade and you just learn how to form the dumplings and fry them in a pan. We still had a good time, it just would have been nice to make everything since you are paying for a cooking class.

My husband and I went for a fun date and the class was really great! Sandro the teacher was so sweet and helpful, and great at explaining what was going on in the background (making the broth) and what we were supposed to do. We made ramen noodles from scratch, chopped vegetables, coated and fried chicken. The whole experience was a lot of fun and the end product was delicious.

We shared a table with another pair and had lots of fun attempting our best efforts making the four different styles of rolls. Our group had a private class for ravioli making, we were a group of 18 and really enjoyed this experience and learned a lot from the Chef. The teacher was very interactive, well prepared, thoughtful, supportive, and fun. The inside of the venue was home-like and well set-up. There was a TV setup that projected what the Chef was doing and was helpful in following along the recipe. All materials necessary for cooking were provided and were in good condition. However, it would be nice to have more tools available to share among the groups. The class did go on longer than anticipated and would suggest advertising a longer class duration. We really recommend taking this class, we had an amazing experience and made a good amount of delicious ravioli.

Excellent setup considering the facility and our teacher kept up a good and entertaining patter about technique and the reasons behind it all at a pace people could follow. The equipment was not exotic but was a step up from what a basic kitchen might have so it might be helpful to suggest how to approximate the results without, for instance, a pasta press (if it can be!). Results were fabulous. Might suggest people bring a takeout container as the portions were very generous. A simple handout with the basic recipes (with suggestions for brands of flour perhaps) would be nice though I was told we could get them from the website. A good and good tasting lesson!

Great class, Naomi was a very engaging teacher who is clearly passionate and a good presenter. I appreciated her own spins on some of the classics, on the old fashioned for example.

I really appreciated the recipes being emailed to us after the class for future use.

The venue and setup was pleasantly surprising. I wasn't sure how well the hotel bar would adapt to a classroom setup but it worked very well. I would recommend this class to others.

Making dumplings isn't easy. But the instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. The only thing I would change or improve is to maybe have the students come in closer for the demo on sealing/closing the dumplings because it is difficult to see the folding of something so small from far away.

If you're looking for a class that takes place in a formal setting (e.g. a large training kitchen), this isn't for you. But if you'd like to make macarons in a casual setting (ours was on a terrace) where you mix pre-measured ingredients (while still learning the general rules of making macarons), this is for you!

The instructor was fantastic and clearly tried to design the lesson around inclusivity, ensuring that everything (egg beaters, mixing bowls, ingredients, etc.) we used could be purchased from a local Target for $20-30.

We had a drink while our macarons were baking in the oven and got to learn the basics of making this tasty treat. I would definitely try something like this again, especially with this chef.

Our teacher Grace was great! She was informative and attentive. We arrived later but she was still very accommodating and we were able to still have time after to taste our food. The venue was an open space which allowed for great ventilation. It was private and each pair had all the ingredients prepared ahead of time and packaged well. She was able to provide shrimp too which was a bonus as shrimp was on sale she said. The food tasted delicious afterwards and everyone had a great time! Definitely would want to do again :D

The cavatelli making class took place in a airy lounge of the Hyatt hotel. It was a nice space to work in. The chef and instructor was engaging and shared context for our class in addition to each step required to succeed. For a novice, the steps were easy to follow. The chef used fresh produce and demonstrated how to make a simple sauce (pasado) tasty with garlic, tomato, red pepper, parmigiano and parsley. After we made our cavatelli, the chef cooked our pasta in the sauce al dente prior to serving. Overall, it was a good and tasty experience.

This was an excellent class to bond with friends and co-workers. The teacher was exceptional at explaining the process to beginners while also keeping the class very much entertaining. The location was easily accessible, a large space, and very clean. We learned how to use specific equipment for making pasta but also learned how to replicate the same result at home without those specific items. We are now armed with a recipe we can build from to make our own homemade pasta and pesto sauce. Our end result was delicious. Overall, my group had an amazing time. I felt the price was fair for the knowledge and experience we gained. I would recommend everyone take this class.

This class was my first class through this website and it was a great experience. I will definitely have to save up for my next class! Chef Sandro was patient with everyone and took the time to go to every table to see if we were doing alright. My boyfriend and I were the last to leave - they weren't forcing people out. The venue was nice and spacious. Since it was inside a hotel lobby, the doorman escorted us to the Breakfast room when he saw that we were lost. While making the dumplings, they supplied us with mini rolling pins which were the cutest thing ever. Other than that, the supplied us with everything that we needed.

I loved how creative we could be with shaping the dumplings and it was no competition between the parties.

The venue was terrific at The Even Hotel, Midtown. It was adjacent to a rooftop patio and there was happy hour at the bar and you could bring your beer or wine to your table. Yellow CocuSocial aprons were provided to you and the instructor, Carolyn Montgomery and her sidekick, Milo, were sensational! She provided step by step instructions and came around to each table to observe we understood. She explained the science behind the cheese making which I found very interesting. And the outcome of the delicious cheese was very gratifying!

The teacher was very knowledgeable and clear with her instructions. The venue was a nice hotel with booth/table setup and the materials were easy to use (bamboo in a ziplock, a cutting board and a knife).

The class was fun, but I think it was a bit expensive for the amount of fish that was provided (it was a very thin sliver of tuna and maybe a 1" by 1" piece of salmon). I've also never used bell pepper or celery when making sushi, but maybe that is just personal preference. I learned about what rice to select and how to roll (with rice inside and outside) as well as few other useful tips! It was fun to chat with others at our table and experience "making" sushi!

I attended this class on my birthday with my boyfriend, and we had an amazing time. The instructor was funny. She answered any questions we had The drinks that she had us make were easy to follow as well. She even brought over her lavender syrup that she had made and everyone in the class enjoyed it. The class will not disappoint. You will have a great time you will meet great people, have plenty of laughs, and have a nice buzz. And to top it off, she will provide you recipes thats if you email her.

The cocktails class was led by Chef Carolyn! First off AMAZING PERSON! Really great with engaging everyone, super helpful and informative about the different drinks we were preparing! I love the historical piece to the class, where the chef provided background to various cocktails and their origins. Such a great fun activity! Love the homemade lavender simple syrup for the lavender martini! Would def take this course again!

Chef Jerry was an excellent balance between entertaining and instructive. The best part was where, unlike other cooking classes I’ve done, I didn’t have to cook in a group with a bunch of strangers. it was really fun! the instructor was nice and helpful but was more the type to give instruction and leave, which some people may like but i personally would’ve enjoyed more interaction. there also wasn’t a lot of counter space per party so it made working a little tough, but all materials were included, instructions were simple enough, and the end product was delicious!

Nice evening out, but the end result was just ok. The bao was very heavy and not very authentic. The instructor was pleasant enough but we were disappointed that every table got the same amount of food to work with — whether you were just one person, or if you were a couple like us. Most of the couples could only have one person working at a time while the other person watched.

We learned how to make maki, California roll, gunkanmaki and a hand roll. We were supplied with all the tools, produce and fish needed to make our sushi. Leenah demonstrated how to make the sushi rice, provided the recipe and she clearly demonstrated all the different rolls. While we attempted to make our own rolls, she walked around and provided feedback or answered your questions. At the end of the class, she provided plenty of time for us to ask questions, where to buy quality fish, how to store it, etc. We had a great time and made more sushi the next day. If you take this class, I recommend making it again to solidify all the things she taught.

Honestly, it could have been done in just an hour. Still waiting on the recipes though. That being said it was a fun family activities and would recommend to anyone this class.
